Synopsis:
This book is the result of more than fifteen years of studies, research and work with native trees. It is a sequence to the book Brazilian Trees, first published in 1992, now published in an updated edition, which will be called “Volume 1”. It contains the same number of species as the former, but includes mainly rare species threatened with extinction. It has the same graphic design and composition, as well as presents the trees in the same alphabetical order per family, genus and species.
Each species, totaling 352, is presented in a single page; including 6 photographs and a written description. The photographs are presented in the following manner: left upper side – adult plant; right upper side – detail of leaf or flower bloom; lower part of left side to right side – fruit, seeds, trunk, and wood.
