IBFLORESTAS creates Green Payment Project

The Brazilian Institute of Forests has recently criated another project to encourage reforestation, and  the necessity of  business sectors to neutralize their carbon emissions and the estimulate  citizens  to practice the sustainable consumption.

The Green Project is a payment service which will be provided by the IBF to e-commerce companies. From this partnership, the Institute is responsible for the development of projects suitable for the needs of each one of these companies, the implementation and success of tree planting, while e-commerce companies are responsible for the financial incentive.

Each company donates  their  percentage of their income to finance such planting. This percentage is determined by the company and it may be related to the amount in tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions by or to the company's work. The planting field is chosen by the company  and the  IBFLORESTAS.

Besides the companies to collaborate with the conservation of the environment, they encourage changes in consumption. Well, to estimulate citizens to a sustainably consumption  companies might  provide products and services that respect the environment and human dignity.

The IBFLORESTAS believes that through the development of environmental projects like  Green Payment, is posible to motivate the society awareness  in favor to know how to use the natural resources without compromising the needs and aspirations of future generations. This does not require a great effort, only more attention to what is around us.
